Reviewing English
Greetings! I am out today, so here is the plan:
- Score the English text we took last time - the answers are in the back of their packet
- Based on your test score and looking at the questions you got wrong, identify two issues of grammar / mechanics for focus today.
- Take two online quizzes about it - you will find them on this site: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/quiz_list.htm
- Complete this brief questionnaire to report to me what you did:
- This will take about 30 minutes. You can use the rest of the period to work on whatever else they choose.

Welcome to Study Strategies!
Greetings!
Welcome to Study Strategies!
As I told you on the first day of class, you are here for personal reasons - to prepare for the ACT and to raise your score. This is a pass / fail class, so there is no pressure of a grade connected to your work. Instead, it is up to YOU to figure out how best to use your time and energy.
We will take many practice tests, go over them in detail, and track your scores. The goal is for you to use that information to help you to determine which areas need the most attention.
My experience with this class is if you work hard you will raise your score.
Let's make it happen!
